Well it wouldn't be a sccamper weekend without some sort of weather. It will be fine, not sure about swimming though. we'll see

Oh, we'll be swimming all right, just not necessarily in a pool... :rolleyes:
 
What is the deal with SCCampers and weather?  One of us must have pissed off the camping gods something good ...

I was so worried it might be a scorcher this weekend...and now look at it!!  Well, at least we won't be home in our house.  

For the morning potluck, we will do a scrambled egg dish.  For dinner, we are doing a sliced potato dish.

Well....I think it's the rain and cold...I don't know...Bran wants to buy most of our meals all weekend...not in the mood to cook, BBQ, etc.  So, I think we're out on the dinner potluck.  He wants to hit Knowlwoods, mexican food, etc.

But, I am pretty sure we are in for the breakfast potluck...eggs still.

Well....I think it's the rain and cold...I don't know...Bran wants to buy most of our meals all weekend...not in the mood to cook, BBQ, etc. So, I think we're out on the dinner potluck. He wants to hit Knowlwoods, mexican food, etc.

Well I was the lucky receipient of the stomach flu this morning and have been puking until about 5:30 tonite.. so NOTHING has been done to get ready for this trip..please make sure you bring firewood as I'm not sure if I can get to the firewood place or to the store tomorrow....
I'm not sure even how much cactus cooler making stuff I have...

we will probably buy dinners & bring in...Sat instead of potluck we can all still eat together if you want.

well the DW is shopping as we speak, so I am still making our stuff.  If we eat together then you can have what I have. (isn't that what pot luck is about?)  If fwe dn't eat together then I guess I will have leftovers.  Too bad the dessert I am making is really good!  ha ha.

We will figure it out when we all get there.

Hopefully that is it for the thunderstorms.  Did the rest of you get hit bad?  We did....made my youngest cry, as the thunder was right on top of the lightning, windows shaking....street was a river, overflowing over the curb.  It scared her immensely, and now both DDs are saying they don't want to go camping.  If it is raining and thundering, I suppose I can send Brandon out to set up...and I can get the girls there afterwards.  It didn't help them hearing about the twisters, either!  UGH!

This weather is weird.  It was sunny in Lancaster this morning when I left, by the time I reached Valencia it was downpouring.  Since we will be out in the Dez with OCCampers this weekend, hopefully it stays that way, sunny in the high dez!

 
By the way Ms. Dee, you have spent time in the Dez with the ToyHo group as well.

I called my family in Manhattan Beach at different times of the day...and it was sunny there all day yesterday!!  When we had the thunderstorm, I called again...sunny!!  I went on the porch, and they were amazed at the sound!  Bran and our oldest did run out in the street, to stand in the rushing water...

Well, we might bail.  Don't know. The girls do not want to go.  Bran is iffy now...he doesn't want to be setting up the pop-up in rain.  And, with it might just being him there until the storms pass, he is not into it.  I think he is tired....it's been a really busy month for him (which is why we were looking forward to the weekend).  

Not for sure yet.  I did call Canyon...and they give rain checks, when it rains...which I was surprised about and quite impressed.  I will let you know as soon as we know...kind of waiting to see if the storm is really heading our way or not.  It's times like this I wish we had a hybrid!!  

Heck.  And, his friend has been borrowing Bran's truck (it was supposed to be for a weekend, it's been two months--don't get me started)....and he still has not brought it back yet!!  So, right now, we don't have a TV!!
