We just got back from Campland/Legoland and the weather was great.  It was a shock coming from the 80's to the 90's+.   We are looking forward to next weekend and just hope the weather is much nicer than it is now.

Oh!!  Bran and the girls were supposed to camp in Campland this past weekend....Adventure Princesses.  Did you see the group there?  Bran and the girls decided not to go...we had two family member birthday parties to attend.

There was something going on around a little ways from us and I heard young girls talking on the micorphone.  I knew it was some kind of group but didn't know what kindd.  They seemed to be having fun.
 
What exactly is Adventure Princesses?  Are they anything like Girl Scouts?

Kinda sorta like the Girl Scouts, but without the cookies, and the associated cool well-funded field-trips.  It's a program by the YMCA.

Adventure Princesses is a Dad and Daughter(s) program.  They do an activity about once a month together, with their group.  They go camping about 4 times in the year....and Bran takes the girls....and I am all by myself for the weekend!!!  Heavenly!!  

There is Indian Guides for Dad and Son(s).  

It is run by the YMCA.

A friend of ours has their son in the Indian Guides and they seem to like it.  Matt is in the Boy Scouts (Josh will be next year) and Sarah is going to be a Brownie next year.   The kids really enjoy being involved in something all to themselves.

Wow lucky you......looks like the weather is going to give you a break and not the heat we've had the last few days......Not a repeat of the last time we camped together at Canyon RV.....Sure wish we were coming I'm starting to get A really bad case of camping fever.  Have a great time......Carol

Dee--Just to clarify...

Are we doing the "cook-your-own-meat-and-contribute-a-side-dish" thing (easy, Brian) both Saturday and Sunday? And then is the breakfast potluck just Saturday morning? I can't keep it all straight...:eyecrazy:
