Fall Rally

Hey guys, are we doing a fall rally and if so where? I know most people like Locust lake since it is the most central and has nicer bathrooms then Hickory Run. Just figured I would check before I think of making reservations ( I am a little behind this year ).

Locust lake is fine with me.  If I take a grandkid I need to be a little farther from the lake than I was last time.

near Pottsville, PA, about 260ish miles from you...Pottsville is above Harrisburg PA, but below I 80 off of I 81.  Does that give you an idea???

      We are original from the Baltimore area and have been to Harrisburg before.  But never heard of Locust Lake...thanks again for your reply.

Locust Lake sounds fine....the fall trip is always a favorite of mine. any ideas on dates.

The last full weekend in September has been the traditional weekend for the fall rally.  That would make it September 25th to the 27th this year.  The pet loop is where we have congregated in the past.  PA state parks now charge the $2 a day pet fee when you camp on a pet site, even if you don't have a pet.  So if anyone wants to move off of the pet sites I would recomend the loop before the pet loop.

I just reserved site 71 ( again ).  When I checked, our loop was about 1/3rd full.  The only other open sites for the weekend were along the trail starting with site #21 and I believe ending site #37.  Everything else showed unavailable for the weekend.  For what it is worth.

The CamperJohn family will be on Site #72 again. I sure hope we don't have rain this year...! We did have a good time after all.

I'd like to come, but it sounds like it might be an Orchestra weekend.  I need to wait until the rehearsal schedule comes out, probably in another month or so.

That's a long trip for us for a short weekend. Maybe sometime in the future for us.

I got 78, plenty still open on that loop. Away from the lake in case I bring Kyrian or Ryan AND closer to the BIG bathroom
