For me German food, not so much, but German desserts, oh yah.  So, i'll bring a dessert, maybe a Black Forest Cake.  I'll also head over to Alpine Village and see what's appealing.
I'll bring some Sam Adams Oktoberfest, since the Heifeweizen is covered

Recumbentman

Starting out great :U But guys please stay within one category. remember each family only brings something for one category. don't say you are going to bring a main dish and/or cake. This way someone else will know what area is missing or available. remember the whole idea is to go from one site to another for the next menu item ;)

I am updating post #1 with the items spoken for, so please check post #1 to see which area is available.

Chez Way

Put me down for appetizers--I'm bringing an Oktoberfest appetizer platter.

Jamesdad

Please help me with some suggestions as I have no idea what to bring within the theme.I was thinknig of desert, but what kind. Does Baclava count?

Recumbentman

QuoteDoes Baklava count

Kevin, am I mistaken, or is that a Greek dessert?  I am not big on German food, so I too have been looking up ideas...still searching for my main dish!

I would like to propose a progressive dinner in place of the traditional pot luck for Saturday night, here is how it would work.

Each family would sign up for one segment of the dinner and we would start at one trailer and work our way through dinner going from trailer to trailer....
Does anyone have a "theme" they would like to do? For example, a "Mexican" theme or the "Thanksgiving" theme...etc...any suggestions?

Appetizers: Chez Way, - Oktoberfest appetizer platter

Salad: JamesDad, - green salad

Soup: CJPoppin

Main Course: Hardee's, - brats with beer and sourkrout...or maybe german hot potato salad.
Main Course:
Main Course:

Dessert: Darksiders, - Black Forest Cake
Dessert:

We have 8 families...How about two families for Dessert, three for main course & side dishes and one each on Appetizers, salad and soup....any takers?

Brad,

Add me to your list.  I will be in Site #26.  I have already paid my deposit through the campground.  What do I bring to eat?

Thanks, Brad. Add an extra kid to the count -- Gregory is bringing his friend Jacob.

Also, Harald (58Air) is quite the German cook so you can count on him to bring a tasty dish.
