One of the things that Moose's SIL's group does is an appetizer night, which was really fun not to mention yummy.  And in the tradition of a good potluck, there was no danger of anyone gong hungry.  :)   How about regular potluck on Saturday evening and an appetizer potluck on Sunday night?

I think that we are flexible and can do either a Saturday or Sunday visit.

I will go along with the majority on the pot lucks.

I was wondering if we could have a small fire in a <> Nothing large, just a small contained wood burn. I luv the smell when camping. Im going to call and ask today.

Ohhhh,  I don't eat fish as well.  Just a catcher.

Quote from: SimiRichI'll talk to Tamara about Sun. DO cooking. We'll definitely do Sat. night & a breakfast for sure.

Can this little restaurant handle another 5 of us as well?
I am sure the restaurant will take 5 more.  It is a really cute covered patio area that you sit and eat at.  Totally kid friendly for us folks with little monkey boys.

Appetizer night sounds like fun.  I will have to find some recipes for good appetizers

Last time we were there they wouldn't allow it.  We do have an enclosed fire pit with a lid, maybe they would allow it?  Let me know what they say.

I like to plan our meals ahead of time before we go on a trip so I know what food to bring.  At the risk of revealing how truly anal I am, is this the tentative schedule:

Friday dinner: restaurant?
Saturday breakfast: informal communal thing?
Saturday dinner: full potluck?
Sunday dinner: appetizer potluck?

Is there another communal breakfast in there somewhere?

:)

Sounds good to me.  We can do communal breakfast on Sunday too if you want.  My kids always like what others bring better than what I bring (except homemade donuts of course)

Great!  I am soooooo ready to be camping!  Work was particularly rough last week and this week isn't shaping up to be much better. :(  I'm trying to see if maybe we can come up Thursday night.  It probably won't work--I think Dave has something going Friday morning, but we may give it a shot anyway.  Worse case scenario is that we'll be up early Friday afternoon.  Either way, it just can't get here quickly enough for me!!!

Italian sausages are new to us.  Sounds yummy.  Mikey, we will just be walking down to the restaurant Friday night so if you are there we would love to have you join us.  If not we will have the blender whirrrrrrring away with margaritas when you get there.:sombraro:

Yum!  :p  Sausages and peppers sound great!!!  The margaritas are sounding pretty darn good too!  Our blender lives in our camper.

Ugh, why isn't it next Friday yet!?!?!?!?!?!

Does anybody know if the kids can ride their bikes at the campsite? Is there enough area for them to have fun or is it not even worth bringing them?

Plenty of room.  I was there a couple times checking it out.  My son and his friend will have scooters and maybe who knows what. There is alot of room bud.

At rally #1, I think two of the kids had wore out two sets of tires riding or pushing bikes and cars in circles.  Bring the bikes.  Heck, that section of PCH has a nice wide bike lane all the way to Oxnard.  We can bring them back to Malibu.
