We are planning on waking up, going for coffee and driving down to spend Saturday with our buddies.  I think we'll be there.....hmmm....when we get there---11:00 to 2:00, so don't wait around for us.

Quote from: SimiRichHi - sorry for the double post but I'm being lazy :screwy:.
Does anyone know if our sites have a sewer hookup?
Thanks!

Rich

I was there today checking out the sites.  I saw elect, water and cable ONLY.  I think all of us are on the 2nd row and there was no sewer.  I could be wrong but I saw what I saw.  The shower/potty rooms were easy to get to and looked clean.  I did notice that it's run like a prison camp with wardens watching your every move.

OHHHHHHHH, There is NO extra vehical space and any extra vehicals will have to park on PCH. No scooters or skate boards, and I quit listening after that.

If anyone has a gas firepit,,,,,,Bring it.... We can have a gas fire.
You can call me if you want more info. Im on the main list.

Yes, no sewer.  Those sites were $80 a nite.:eyecrazy: .  Randy can lug the tote to the dump station for $20 a night:D .  Check out the SC Camper web site and you will see the sites we have.

Thanks for the info everyone and Mikey for going there to check things out. We probably will be up there late Fri. evening. I won't be off work early but at least it's a pretty close drive from Simi.

See you Friday!

We're toying with going up Thursday evening, but more likely we'll be there early Friday afternoon.  Can't wait--I'll have our bags packed by Wednesday! Just have to figure out my menus :D

Lori, do you have any plans for celebrating Dave's birthday?  Do you want to buy a cake or we could DO a cake or dessert.

His birthday is Sunday, but since Scott and Georgeanne are coming down Saturday, we could celebrate it then.  There's a Ralph's just up the road from the cg, and I was thinking it might be easier for me to just buy a cake from their bakery.  I was planning on making Moose's cherry/blueberry DO cake for Sunday, so we'll still have dessert and can continue the birthday celebration, albeit a bitmore casually, on Sunday too! :)

We won't be up Thursday but are planning on leaving Friday morning around 9-ish.  Malibu RV's Web site says check in time is 1:00 p.m. :( Jacqui--how strict are they on their "no early arrivals" policy?

griffsmom

PS Does anyone rtemember what the surf was like at the beach across PCH from the cg?  Is it a shore break or do the waves break further out?  Also, was the beach fairly flat or was it a steep pitch down to the water?  I'm trying to decide if I want to bring my surfboard, but I've surfed almost exclusively at San Onofre and so am spoiled by the long, slow, gradual break at Old Man's.  Plus, I'm terribly out of practice. :o

I don't know but will ask Randy when he gets home from work.  He hopefully should know.  He chased his kite up and down the beach and PCh when the string broke:swear: .

I am glad you said you were going to bring the red, white and blue cobbler.  I thought about trying it too.  I will try something different.  Maybe the peach/orange cobbler or pineapple upside down cake.

Lori,

Although not specifically shot to check on the surf, there is a beach picture here: http://community.webshots.com/album/68861071hwqSwJ/1 and a few more on page three.  Randy got some pictures too

Thanks Scott for the pictures down memory lane.  It reminds me how beautiful Malibu is.

That helps.  Thanks for posting the links to the pictures, Scott.  I forgot about checking the pics everyone took from our first trip.

Got another question...

Our neighbors (Jay and June with the pop-up VW van--some of you met them at the May rally we had at VLR) just bought a Gold wing motorcycle and would love to take a little drive up the coast.  They are thinking about joining us at Malibu for an evening of fun, food and friends.  Will the management allow them to pitch a tent on our site?

You may want to check with Malibu RV.  The sites weren't very large if I remember right.  They do have a tent only section up at the top.  Maybe they would have an opening up there.
