Tracy I think you're right. It gives us a better shot at knowing what the weather is going to be,too.
I don't mind snow or cold, etc, but the pouring rain on top of the ice we had when we went to Otter Oake is not something I want to do again.

Gee Andy I thought you liked that trip a lot and were trying to duplicate it.;)   I don't want to tow the PU on ice or in a blizzard.  We have freezing rain right now and there is no way I would want the PU set up in this weather.  They even canceled Boy Scouts tonight, and that doesn't happen often.

I just ordered my bunk end covers. I'm excited about this trip.
Tracy, how old are your kids? I have a 9 year old son in cub scouts.

Quote from: tlhdocLee we shouldn't have any problem getting a site this time of year.  I will not make my reservations until a day or two before the trip.  At that time we should have a firm head count and then make our reservations so that we are all in the same area.  We usually camp in the back of the campground away from the road.:)

Tracy:

I'm thinking about it! My son has off Friday and Monday; if my wife doesn't want to come maybe my son will bring a friend. We were there in early October last year and had a good time. Not a bad drive up from Baltimore as long as you hit Harrisburg before 3pm! We'll keep an eye on the weather.

Hi John,

Tell Terry it will be fun :eyecrazy: .  It looks like we have a good group planning on attending.  My DS will be happy to know that your DS might be coming.:)

I got back yesterday and lordy lordy that traffic and the drivers...would not pull a camper up those roads on a bet...

I met my Viggo *sigh*. Stood on line in the rain (and they say it does not rain in Southern CA...they lied) fir 3 and a half hours in Santa Monica to get my book signed and gaze upon Aragorn/Frank Hopkins/Satan and all the other parts he played including Tex in Chainsaw Massacre #3, Leatherface.

Went to Mexico thanks to my friend's (Lady friend from the Viggo board I am on) brother and his fiance, did some shopping and had a GREAT dinner.  A thrilling ride on a Mexican Toll Xpressway.  Was offered a house (to buy) on the beach in Rosarita MX and a resturaunt to buy (22,000 dollars) so I could pay the $250,000USD for the house...I politely turned the offers down.

I think I have to pass on this trip. I know you brave could enjoy the :jaws of ice: but not me this time...partially because my trip to San Diego broke the budget, after the downstairs remodel between Thanksgiving and Christmas...so I need to wait until Otter Lake.

Boy Tracy, I hate cold weather camping so I want to pass on this one. But then you had to add the restaurant into the mix. You know that's my kind of camping  :D  I will have to wait on this one coz it may be bball playoffs week.  That's also our school break I think.

I'm interested but I'll have to wait to commit. I will mention it to the gang.

Di they have cabins too.:)

OMG - are you people crazy???  (I just HAD to check in here).   ;)  :p   I must be a wimp, because I don't think I'd even consider this trip if I lived nearby.  Are any of you Canadians, by chance?  At any rate - ENJOY!!

Hey Jan how are you?  I think I am crazy, so that could be the correct answer.:eyecrazy:  If this trip is too cold for you what about the rally in NY.  It is in July so it will not be too cold.:)

Looks like I can swap a day to have that Sunday off...  Oh man THREE days in the camper just 29 days away.  I can't wait to hear the furnace kick on!!

Hey guy's

This trip looks better and better!
Just picked up the Pop Up  at Rayewood today.
If it's not raining tomorrow I will open it up and check it out from the inside with the new roof.
I like those rails on the roof. Looks like it would be easy to add a roof rack without much to do.
