I like those rails on the roof. Looks like it would be easy to add a roof rack without much to do.

Andy
Andy all you need are the feet and the crossbars to add a rack.  I have the system on my roof.  You can check it out at the campground.:)

Andy, when we had the Carmel it was SO nice with those rails.  We had the dealer throw in the crossbars as part of the deal, and I got the Yakima bike racks on eBay really cheap.  I'll email you a pic of the set-up right now, since I have no clue how to add a pic in this thread.  :compumad:   Can't wait to see you guys there!

Quote from: tlhdocHi John,

Tell Terry it will be fun :eyecrazy: .  It looks like we have a good group planning on attending.  My DS will be happy to know that your DS might be coming.:)

I went up to my brother's house yesterday where I keep the popup. Put in all my "winter gear" (Reflectix "storm windows", heated mattress pad, etc.) so we'll be ready if the weather and work schedule cooperate.

Good!  DS really wants your DS to come.  He is planning on taking some video games along.:)

Depending on weather and if they (Pine Grove) will allow me in, I may come up for the day that Saturday and have dinner with you all. I like DIW like the idea of eatting out while camping...

Hi
Rich, thank you for the pictures. Tracy I'll have a closer look at the roof rack when we meet at Pine Grove.

Tracy, the "Special" at Pine Grove you talking about is good for that weekend? Because Valentine's Day is the week before.

Andy

Andy it is good for both the weekend before Valentines day and the weekend after.  I will be there Friday and Saturday nights and IF we don't have any more snow make up days I will stay Sunday night too.  If DS has school on Monday we will go home on Sunday.  I plan on taking Friday off of work, but DS will have school so we will not get there until 5 PM or so.  I like having Friday night at half price.  That is less than the SP charges for a site with just electric. :)

Does everyone want to do the Special and have the buffet?

copcarguy

Tracy - from what I saw on their website, the special is for camping in a cabin, unless I am missing something or reading it wrong. Is this what you saw?: http://www.twingroveparkcampground.com/2006_vday.pdf

If there is a buffet special going on, we're in! I am hoping sites Q42, Q44, and Q46 are available - I'd like to get one of those!

Yes Rick you missed something, my post, the first post on page three.  I emailed the CG and asked if there were any specials for that weekend and here is what they emailed back to me.

"Our nightly rate is $32.00 for a full hook-up back in site. That is one of our Sweetheart Weekends for Valentine

andym86

We're in for the special.
Tracy, your son's school is open on Presidents Day?
Andy

Tracy, I am experiencing a brain fart here.  Please tell me if I have this right:

Fri night: 1/2 price campsite = $16
Sat: breakfast AND dinner buffet + campsite = $70
Sun: campsite $32

Andy IF they have another snow day they will be open.  We had one snow day in December so he has to make it up of the Friday before Presidents day.  I just keep praying they don't have another make up day.:)

Rick breakfast is on Sunday morning, not Saturday, two adult meals (two dinners and two breakfast) are included in the price.  Other than that you got it!  The $70 includes the tax for Saturday too.:)

I'll have to pass on this one. Just found out that K's bball coach has her in not one, but two, bball tournaments starting that weekend. Didn't even ask the parents...asked a bunch of 13 yr olds if they want to play ball and they said "yes." Instead, he should have asked them, "Do you want to give up your vacation to play in 2 different tournaments?" He thinks they're lucky coz they all get to play in the 8th grade league (he has a few 8th graders on the team) and since most of the starters are in 7th grade, he can play a smaller team in the 7th grade league. Those lucky 8th graders get to stay home...

Oh well, they'll be more camping trips... Have fun everyone.
