Well Laura was the first one out and we were the last. We had a great time and really liked the location. We were so glad Dufuss came back to roost at home. In was fun seeing old and new friends. We're not sure if we can make the Pismo rally. We have a friend who may be able to get us a spot across the way, but we'll see.

Thanks for the kudos on my jalapeno jam. I made about 50 jars last year and it's almost gone.

Everyone have a great week.

Hey Moose,

You sure do make a mean Beef Stroganoff  :D That was great.... :-()

I guess it's about time for us to post.  As usual we had a blast with everyone.  The mosquito's bites I have are still reminding me of the trip.  Otherwise, it was a nice place and we would definetly return.  I have pics of everyone's sites but have not had a chance to put them up on webshots yet.  Hang in there with me and I'll get them uploaded.

I don't know about the rest of you campers at the Oceanside camp-out but Carolyn and I are just eaten up with insect bites. Some of them may be mosquitoes but we have a LOT of bites in places that mosquitoes can't get. I think that they are flea bites. They are also getting worse instead of better. We kept each other awake all night....itching :( .

Does anyone else have bites underneath their clothes?

oldmoose

Wavery you may be right. I have a lot of bites below my knees, but nothing above. I thought they were "noseeums", but fleas may be a better answer. They still itch, but are getting better.

BTW, thanks for the compliment and we look forward to seeing both of you again.

Hi Wayne,
Brian has them soo bad on the lower parts of his legs. They started out looking like LARGE red welts and now they look like scabs. Probably from scratching.  Not so much under his clothes.   I noticed this morning Ashlee has what looks like 3 bites on her eyelids. Also noticed a few on her legs but nothing like Brian's. I didn't get anything - I used ALOT of bug spray.

For those of you with dogs at the the Oceanside camp-out, you may want to give them a good check. I had on long, heavy shorts and I have insect bites all up inside where my shorts were and all over my butt and waist line (under my belt). :(  NO WAY mosquitoes got up in there ;) .

Azusateach

Everything's on my legs, too.  Normally fleas don't bother me, but if they were fleas, then I got chewed on.  Finally had to resort to long pants at school today because my legs (left one in particular) look so hideous.  And they take FOREVER to go away on me.  Grrrrr ...

As for dogs, Brandy gets a monthly dose of Advantix, and it does a great job of keeping her protected.  Nothin' on her except lots of dirt.  :)

My wife fell in love (at 1st sight) with Brandy. Before we got married, she had a Yellow Lab just like her. She was really disappointed when we got up and your space was empty.  That's not to say that we didn't miss you too :D . We wanted to get to know you better but you were gone like the wind :p .

Checked Jellybean. Nothing on her. How is Doofus reacting to having his wing clipped? Does he even know?? Got another laugh thinking of you and Carolyn in the closet with him.

I thought I was losing my mind!!!  I have bites ALL OVER ME!!!  They are huge ugly red welts and I look so GROSS!  They are on my arms, legs and feet  - even between my toes!  I had to take a prescription antihistamine just so I could sleep.  They seem to be getting worse (bigger and itchier) and not better and lasting way longer than any mosquito bite I've ever had!  They are esp. bad on my knees and those were covered in demin - hard for mosquitos to reach there.  Gawd - I hope I didn't bring fleas home to my dogs! haha!:yikes:

griffsdad

No bites on me. Please Brian and Dee - no lawyer jokes. Lori, Griff, and I had a great time. We already miss our camping friends.

Wayne and Carolyn, hope you camp again with us soon. I'm glad you found Doofus. What a scare!

Laura, I'm surprised that you stayed till 8 a.m. Usually, you bolt around 6. As Jerry would say, "What's the deal with that?"

Dee and Dan, please call or come on over if you need to unwind.

Kristi, Dan, Brian, and Wayne, thanks for playing poker. It was fun!!! Krisiti, your're hilarious!!!

Kristi and Ashley, what a great time at the beach!! Sorry that Bob couldn't find us.

Moose and Paula, as always it was fun, and I agree; the jalapeno jelly was awesome!!!!!

The Boothe Bunch, it was great seeing you guys again!!

Until next time.

We had a great time camping last weekend, as well!  It is definitely in my book as a "Do-Over" campsite....but when it is cooler.

You know, you are all freaking me out about all these bites!!!  None of us have really noticed anything.  I did just ask Bran, and he said he had like three little bites on his leg, but nothing major, and gone.  I noticed one little bite on Logann's face on Sunday, but wasn't even really sure if it was a bite.  Besides that, we are clear (I guess!).

Riley seems fine, too.

I didn't notice too many flying bugs there---didn't even think to put bug guard on the kids (and feeling bad).  I am a total neurotic about mosquitoes and West Nile (I drive Bran crazy and have Keelynn scared to death of mosquitoes).  Of course, now, I am going to obsess over West Nile.  Thanks.

As for me....maybe my Zipfizz protected me with it 4000% Vitamin B!

He's not nearly as cocky as he used to be. I'm having fun watching him trying to fly across the room and hitting the floor with a "Thud" & a grown  :eyecrazy: .  I just keep telling him that it serves him right. He sat in that darn bush for 30 minutes, quiet as a Church mouse.

I know that he was laughing us while he was watching us walking around, calling him. That's why I laugh at him every time he "Thuds" on the floor :J . He's starting to remember why he hates to fly :p .

I was bitten by mesquitos, I know for sure...I saw them landing and felt the bites immediatley,  that is why I stayed in the trailer at night.  I ever tried bug off spay and towels to no avail...but my Dave mentioned to me that he had some stange bites all over this stomach.  Not like flea or mesquitos bites...I will have to look at these futher and let you all know.  He said he thought they were spider bites...This is weard.  I still loved that campout and would diffently do it again...We may not see you all in Yosemite, Heather is going in for more medical testing for her back...She thinks she is making small gains, one step forward, two steps back...So we will see I really really want to go...But she may still need help with the little ones on weekends so I'm not sure.  Just keep us in your prayers and I hope we will be able to make it.
