Is Russinator still around? He started this thread a long time ago. In the mean time, there have been threads about buying DSLR's, so I know there is potential to get this going again. To start, here is a shot taken from a bridge on a trail between Unicoi SP and Helen, GA.

Now, your turn.

According to his profile, he hasn't posted since March of '09.

Here are some recent photos I've taken.  If this works, Click on the photo to see the photo's page (and from there, see the full-size image).

Lake Bomoseen, Bomoseen State Park, Vermont.  This state park is one of the most scenic places I have ever seen.

Island Lake, Martin-Island-Linwood Lakes Regional Park, Linwood, Minnesota:

Mystic Seaport, Mystic, Connecticut:

Billings Farm & Museum (Associated with Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park), Woodstock, Vermont:

If you have questions about this or other photos (including photo techniques used), please ask.

BTW, I don't know if it's on your end or mine (company computer, so site may be blocked), but all I see is a red X.

I use Flickr as my hosting site, and some corporate policies do not allow it. Maybe someone else can chime in to let me know if they are seeing this:

I can see the pics fine on my home machine.

That seems to be the issue; I can see it fine at home.

Yours truly and the Au Sable River just upriver from the Lumberman's Monument (Michigan).

Speaking of Michigan, the North Country Trail goes through the Ottawa Indian reservation for a section a little northeast of Ludington.

...and while we're at it, the Little Sable lighthouse, Ludington State Park:

It was a windy day in Ludington. Here is a shot of the waves breaking against the pierhead at the harbor:

As usual, there's more on the photo's main page, including the full-size version.  This is a large stitched photo, made by combining four images, and deserves to be seen full-size.

I have a beautiful little 5 mile loop I run in wine country. After thinking about it forever, I finally grabbed my camera and threw it in my truck. After running the loop, I drove to a few spots and snapped some pics.

The grape vines are great to look at while running. In another week or so, there won't be a leaf left on them.

Unfortunately, the light wasn't great. It was sunset but very overcast. Would have been better had there been some more contrast. Oh well, maybe next time.

EDIT: These are HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos. I took 5 photos of each scene, each at different exposures, then combined them into a single photo.
